Tabletop art

Although we're not opening until August we are busy behind the scenes planning and organising all the time. We decided that it would be nice to paint the tabletops in our new artroom and who better to design these than the children of Ardagh. We visited the two schools in the parish St. Mel's NS, Ardagh and Scoil Bhríde, Glen as well as Club Ardagh Montessori to get their ideas on paper. The only rule was to be inspired in some way by Ardagh - its history, nature, buildings, myths, people or just what it means to you. We'd like to thank all the teachers and parents for their co-operation. We hope to include as many designs as possible on our tables with the artists' names for all future visitors to admire. We are also going to have an exhibition of all submissions running from our Grand Opening on 20th August until 3rd September. We're delighted with the variety of ideas we've received so far, a big thank you goes to all our artists. Here's a sneak preview. Keep an eye out for lots more over the coming weeks.
