Wonka artworks

We got lots of great artworks in for our Golden Ticket competition. Here are a few samples, including a fantastic Scratch animation by Cian. We will be picking the five winners at random after lunch tomorrow so you still have time to get your work in to us. Preparations are well under way for our family fun events at the weekend. We may have sneak peaks here later, watch this space. Bookings: 086 3027602 or creativeardagh@gmail.com.

Five Golden Tickets for our Easter events

Paul's Chocolate Machine design
In preparation for our Easter family event which will be taking it's inspiration from Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, we want to invite you to send us your art, based on the book. We are accepting artworks, animations etc., in all formats, digital or traditional, the only rule is that you too are inspired by Willie Wonka's factory. Creations of all sorts by adults, children, groups or individuals are requested, so whether you want to sculpt the Indian Prince's palace from melted chocolate; dress up, act out and video a scene; produce a stop motion or Scratch animation; draw, paint, collage or construct your favourite scene we would love to see your work.
You can email photos of your work to creativeardagh@gmail.com, or send in the originals by post or in person to Ardagh Heritage and Creativity Centre, Ardagh, Co. Longford by Friday 30th March 2012 with full details of the names and ages of those involved in the creation and a contact address, email or phone number.
We will show as many as possible on our website and YouTube page and exhibit any originals we receive in the centre over the Easter weekend (Saturday 7th to Monday 9th April). We may even transform some into part of our Chocolate Room set.
In keeping with the Willie Wonka theme, five Golden Tickets (entitling one family entry to the Easter event) will be given out to randomly selected artists. We can't wait to start receiving your creations, have fun!
